    Ahh, there's the rub: I'm not a re-enactor. I'm just looking for a well made blade with a good edge that is presentable for formal occaissions (perhaps even to become a family heirloom?). From the photos on the website they appear to be everything I'm looking for-plus, I'm intrigued by the bog oak handles. :-)

    Bryan...I'm a fan of Craftsmanship, since I posess none of my own... :grin:

    Then they are good to go for you. All the reasons you stated are good ones. Its a much better SD than what you find in the kilt stores.

    I agree, the ones in most kilt stores are the cheesiest garbage being sold at outrageous prices.
