Here, at the moment, "fine" means physically attractive in a very pleasing way.

I've just given up any hope of understanding the younger generations. I had trouble understanding my own generation because of my poor knowledge of slang. Deep inside, I've always been an old man I guess. I see nothing wrong in sticking with the Queen's English.

My group of friends used to use the term "psychof-----gdelic" to say that something was really great. We also used "far out man', I do remember when a song came out that used the term "up tight and outa sight" meaning things were really "cool" somehow up tight came to mean tense and uncool. Course this was back in the 60's. You know if you can "remember the 60"s you weren"t there." 8) 8) 8)

Oh dear god...I'm SO glad that I'm 43 and am too old to worry about such. I've never had anyone say anything to me that I couldn't interpret.

    !OMG! hehehehehehehehe

Exactly. I figured it would come back around eventually, just like fashions. :-D

The one I really don't get is the use of Phat for someone who looks good/attractive. Without spelling it out how do you tell the difference?
