Just out of curiousity, where did you have the German National kilt made?

I had it made as a box pleated by Matt. It's 13 oz. wool, but it's only a 4 yard kilt, so there is less material than a full 8 yard knife pleated, so it feels lighter overall.

If you're interested, I believe he still has some of the cloth on hand.

Now there's a festival I can embrace! Wearing kilts, drinking great beer, and celebrating with friends. Perhaps we should combine kilts with some traditional erman lederhosen shirts and suspenders! And we could do the chicken dance!
