There's a fellow who comes to our San Francisco Bay Area kilt nights at the Devils Canyon Brewery who's made a couple of cordueroy kilts. He showed up last time in a red one with fur trim around the hem to go with the red jacket and hat he'd made...a Santa Kilt...

Wellll.....I have to admit it wasn't to my taste, though it WAS kind of a kick. We all need a sense of humour, ya know? I'd not wear one, but hey, if he wants to, it' snot bothering me, any! Still, the pleats lay flat and the kilt would have been much like a "regular" solid red kilt, if it hadn't had the faux fur trim.

A couple of months ago he showed up with a medium- large-knap cordueroy kilt in a cream/tan color and I thought it looked pretty good. His workmanship is just fine! I'm spacing on his name...Mate, get a sporran! LOLOL...that thing you had on that night, Oh My God, what WAS it? But with a real sporran, or with slash pockets bult in or whatever for cargo-carrying capability, that cream/tan kilt would have looked pretty sharp.

I'm guessing that a small-knap cordueroy kilt would look a bit better than the large knap, but that's just me.
