    Withdrawral symptoms

Due to the fact that I had several mucky jobs to do throughout yesterday I have spent the last 24hrs in my jeans. I could'nt wait until this morning to get up and put my Cilt back on again. I think I got Cilt addiction in a bad way. Guess I'll have to start taking some medicine and buy some more Cilts.

Might be time for a casual non-tartan kilt? Maybe something like a Freedom Kilt or an R kilt... ;-)

I know how you feel derek, I spent Xmas in coveralls, painting, it was necessary but not nice.

As I said before, these times make one appreciate the kilt, absence makes the heart grow fonder

    Derek,

You do have my deepest sympathy.

While Graham was here last July we observed a chap wearing a Workman's from Utlilikilts that actually looked like it should, it had paint all over it, and in fact he looked "normal" as if it were overalls.

    Yet I understand your withdrawl.

Derek, You have my sympathy also. I simply do not wear pants unless I have to do something that would cause a modesty problem for me or people around me. I know my kilt addiction is very strong, but I think it's one of the best things that ever happened to me.

As a suggestion, Stillwater has what the call an econony kilt ($39), made out of acrylic, and traditionally styled. It's for first-timers who would like to determine if being kilted is something the would like. It's also for mucky jobs wear you do not want to mess up one of your nice kilts. You might want to consider one for those for mucky type jobs where modesty is not a problem.

Oh, Derek! What are we to do with you?! Please don't waste your money on medicines - think of that expense being put towards a new cilt instead. What we need to do is to get you into a 'Utilicilt' - a nice, gutsy Workman's model should do the trick. ;) These are real work clothes - Freedom Kilts and R-Kilts are too smart for labouring wear - at least, mine are!

Unfortunately, at the last count, Utilicilts were accepting only telephone orders (which can be a considerable additional cost from here), so let's not rush this one. Look at it this way: this is the opportunity you have subconsciously been waiting for. Now is the time to research the precise Utilicilt your heart truly desires - model (maybe it's not the Workman's after all), colour, size, all the options in fact. Then it's break open the piggy-bank time (I will help you do that - it's something I am very good at!), and let's get that order winging its way over to Seattle - their web-ordering system should be operative by then!

I am jonesing on your behalf already

While I am all for going kilted 24/7/365, there are those times when I would still wear pants. It is for those "mucky jobs" as Derek put it. Regardless of the price of a kilt, kilts are too special for me to risk getting permanently damaged.

I do sympathize with the addiction. I got my first UK on the 10th. I wore it that day and all three days of this past holiday weekend. I loathed having to put on pants this morning for work. I really hope my next employer will allow me to work kilts on the job. (and I really hope I get a "next employer" soon, as I learned over the weekend that I have 5 months of job security left!)
