If you exclude the 2nd Amendment, that is.

No kidding. The ACLU seems to get things right about half the time. ;)
Even Rush Limbaugh said something to the effect 'no, we're not talking about a kilt' when he mention the story. Seems even he knows the difference between skirts and kilts which is more then I can say about a lot of those in the media.

This is a group Canadians hear about in the news from time to time but I don't know that we have anything similar here north of the border to compare to it.

Or perhaps those others simply like to play ignorant to give them something to say.

Thought there was a group called the 'Canadian Civil Liberties Association' that was similiar? Might just be the name.

True.

I hope not.
The ACLU is an abomination in America.
I'm not particularly political, but socialism has more than proven its hostility to the Christian faith historically.
I have no respect for their selective work, or their philosophy, which is thinly veiled communism.

Prester, problem is if you get rid of them there's nothing between us and the removal of our rights at all.

An article appeard on this guy in today's Washington Post. Overall, I think it's a pretty negative article. You may need to "sign up" to view, I'm not sure:

Go Figure
Good article, makes the valid points about males wearing unbifurcated garments for thousands of years yet not wearing them in modern western society for fear of ridicule and about the right to choose what to wear. Coviello's "skirt" almost passes as a kilt as it is tartan but the sneaker shoes don't do justice to it. Anyway looks like he's a big powerful guy whom nobody would dare ridicule.

Wonder if he only gets to wear skirts as a protest during the period that shorts are banned, or based on the ACLU's intervention, he can now wear skirts any time he chooses all school year?
The ideal decision would have been that male students would be permitted to wear traditional or non-traditional kilts anytime.
