Well after marking the whole thing in chalk, only to have the marks disappear when hemming (Had to hem - am piecing it from the two 25" strrips cut out of a 60" wide fabric) - marking & pinning it - only to determine that there were too many pleats , Re-marking & pining it - only to decide there are too few pleats, here is the final result afterthe 3rd go around
I am centering the hard to see double black strip oon each pleat with the green buried in teh center of teh fold.
will trun oiut fairly dark & conservative looking in the end but the green will show nicely when i walk.
Now i am off to a superbowl party. I need to take a break from this as it looks like i will be hand stiching it from here on & I am NOT looking forward to that part!!!

Hand stitching.....hmmmm....I could make jokes about how you had better hope those stitches don't pop at an inopportune moment....but that would be so unlike me.....
I HATE FRINGE!!!
Have gotten the damned kilt 95% done and am now sitting here pulling threads out to do my freaking fringe. I have little snippets of blue & black & green threads all over the freaking place & my eyes are crossing from the effort!!!!
WHY OH WHY DID I START THIS MONTROSITY!?!?!?!?!?
(This is a rhetorical question btw - no need to add any snarky comments!!!)
should be done in the next day or so - will post pics when all is said & done
