It just so happens that during my physical therapy session today (I remain kilted, unless the activities require me to into gym shorts), I dropped my cane. My physical therapist (female), asked me to try to pick the cane up. Being kilted, I kneeled with one leg slightly in front of the other, grabbed the cane, then used it to help myself up from the kneeling position. My therapist said that she was impressed that I kneeled instead of bending at the waist. I told her that the reason I kneeled was not to save my back, but if I had bent at the waist, anyone standing behind me and looking my direction would have got an answer to what was worn under the kilt.
She laughed so hard the tears were streaming down her cheeks, and she had to leave to go to the bathroom before we could finish the session. A powerful garment, the kilt.
