'Ensemble'....!! Wow!! is that high fashion or what??!!
Crack me up.
Back in the olden days of the early 60s my minor in college was Clothing and Textiles. I actually took a college course in Clothing Selection....I don't think that Route 66 ensemble is what they had in mind.
I do still have the textbook. Nary a mention of kilts, even in the men's fashion history section.
The textbook was written by two women professors from UConn and published in 1961. They bash men saying, "Most American men are not fashion conscious; they think the only purpose of clothes is to cover the body and keep it warm or cool. They seem to think it unfitting to think of their appearance, and so they pretend indifference."
I'm guessing those ladies are dead by now...I'll bet they'd be impressed by the chatter on this board over what goes with what...
