For those who have seen the show -- I had heard that there was some Highland Dance on the program -- true?
Thanks,

Yes -- the Highland Fling and the Sword Dance, to be exact.
I'm listening to the official tour CD even as I type this message.
I saw the BW and WG at the historic Fox Theatre in St. Louis; there were several kilts in the audience, and the St. Louis St. Andrew's Society and the local Highland Dance troupe were helping sell items in the lobby. I did not wear my kilt, since my friend Mark and I had made the 3-hour trip from Springfield and arrived right before the performance -- but I did wear my blue blazer with our St. Andrew's Society's emblem and my Lord Strathcona's Horse regimental tie, in keeping with the spirit of the evening!
If you do go to a performance, be prepared for some amazing piping and drumming, especially "Pogo's Salute", which is quite stirring. The combined bands numbers were especially good, but my favourite part is always the march off, when the band strikes up "The Black Bear"! ;)
I even got to talk to a couple of the "Jocks" in the lobby afterwards!
Cheers,
Todd

Todd,
Thanks for the quick response!! I had a couple of folks that I thought might be particularly interested in the dance aspect, so I wanted to verity that before I invited them.

BW&WG
I'm going to see them tomorrow night in Kansas City.
Now if I could only decide on which kilt to wear . . . .

Dang! Wish I had seen this earlier, I would have had 2 chances, Champaign-Urbana and Wheaton!
Although, we did move here from the Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater area and they are playing 8 miles from our old house on 3/20! Might be time to go back and check on the house and take in a show. The fact that it would be 70+ degrees and sunny has no bearing on my decision!

My #2 son's 12th birthday is the same day as the Black Watch concert here in Asheville, NC, and a ticket to this concert is what he wants for his birthday. He asked me today if he can wear my MacDonald tartan tie since he doesn't have a kilt yet. He wasn't this excited before Christmas!
#1 son, (who has wanted to play the bagpipes for most of his young life and who has been on the practice chanter for several months now) is also beside himself. He got a new SWK Nightstalker for Christmas, and this will be his first night out in it (Geez...I better get cracking on that new black sporran I've got cut out on the workbench!!)
Mom is dropping us off and then meeting us afterward for dinner. Should be a great night out.
