Thanks all for the nice words. Yes I know the length is allright, itīs just the wife that thinks I show too much! And I canīt wear it much lower, my bulge you see mainly from the side prevents it!
And yes, I made it myself. that is simply a question of keeping the price low!
That is the buckle! And no it is no xmarks buckle, I wear it as a cross.

It's too short. (kidding, I always get 'its too long' when I post pics of my kilt. ;)

Not to short, not to long, it's just right and the buckle is fantastic. I did a search for buckles as well and found this. Its a very X Marks the Scot buckle. I am very tempted. the site is www.scotch-corner.co.uk under Highland Dress- Belts and Buckles.

the 2nd buckle is a beaut. I would be interested to know if it would fit a 2 and 1/4" standard kilt belt, also where you order'd it from.

I've got a Kazakhstan officer's belt buckle I need to get a belt for and want to get an iron cross belt for some of my non-traditional kilts....
