I tend to be of the forgiving kind, but when a crime involves a child (even indirectly) I say THROW THE BOOK AT HIM! If he truly was interested in pictures of children being abused sexually then he deserves every amount of punishment that can be thrown his way.

I can't fault the character. I really hope Keith's finds a replacement. The commercials are funny and entertaining.

I blame the moral disgust of the actor as a person. Just because the actor (or sports player) is a lowlife doesn't mean the roles they played are bad.

Throwing the book at this guy won't do it. After he is a father of two small kids. As a parent I don't get how anyone with kids of their own could do that. Let's leave him in a room with parents of children whose kids were abused. If he walks out alive than he can go to general population in prison for many, many years.

You've got that right. One of my Southern cousins' wives worked in administration at the prison where the infamous Susan Smith was incarcerated and she told us that within days of arriving, her fellow prison inmates would mimic the sounds of children crying at night as she tried to sleep to haunt her with what she did.

He has been charged with two counts of possessing child pornography and one count of making child pornography available.

Mr. Smith is innocent unless "proven guilty according to law in a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal." (Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, s. 9)

Mr. Smith is also a person known to me and I call him a friend. I would have called him that yesterday, so I'll continue to call him that today. I pray for him, for his family and for Justice.

I fear, however, that in this life there can never be justice for the children who are victims of such crimes and whoever is responsible for such should face the full force of the law. At this stage, however, I will not presume to know who is responsible.
