I wear jeans quite a bit of the time, suits some more of the time, my old Army uniform pants some of the time, and my kilt some of the time, pretty much in that order.
Until this thread, I guess I didn't realize how much jeans are an American thing. I'm sure that there are plenty of Americans on the BBS who hate jeans, but it's the Great Britain related guys who are posting that they hate jeans, and the American guys who are saying, "Yeah, I wear them [sometimes/usually/etc]."

There are still loads of people who wear them over here. I guess the thing you're seeing on here is because there's not many of us British folk (comapred to USA folk) here at xmarks.

new cuts
I still wear jeans when the tempature drops a bit...and my girlfriend seem to like me in them as well
Over here in the states, they seem to be making them with a loose fit cut. You see the younger guys wearing that style now. Not sure I'd venture into the realm of the "20 something" fashion though.

It seems that jeans are the "national" uniform for everyone here, but I am not into uniformity anymore.

I've kept a couple pair of jeans around for riding my motorcycle. That's about the only time I wear them, though.

When the transit workers strike hit last year, if it wasn't for my jeans, I woudl have frozen to death on my walk to work -- 2 hours each way and over 2 bridges...

I own three pairs of jeans that I use. I like them, I look good in them (or so my girlfriend says), and I they fit my style. I wear the slim fit models, or straight leg. I sacrifice comfort for look, which is kinda dumb, but I have to please my lady sometimes too.

Jeans are as popular as ever here in Norway. I wear jeans most days for work teaching, and at home mucking about in the garage head-first in some engine bay. Jeans a no-no when hiking and doing other out-door activities... I guess things might change, as my first kilt is somewhere over the North Sea on its way to me as speaking

Go baggy jeans! I still like the feel of oversized clothing, although not so oversized they fall off when I walk I have one pair of cargo jeans that are very comfy, although obviously not as comfy as my kilts...

I wear jeans for stuff like working on the car and other messy stain producing activities. Of course, I don't do things like that much anymore so as it happens I haven't worn jeans in nearly 2 years.
