That certainly was great PR for the kilt. Nice that your friend has also purchased a kilt. I think when we wear the kilt out in public we are all doing PR for the kilt. As more men see them, and also see that we are not being laughed at, they will be tempted to give the kilt a try.

I could'nt agree more. I am often down in Sydney, for dance class or shopping and i have had some very interesting conversations with people about wearing the kilt.I tell them about X Marks the scot, how to search for information on Tartans, Kilt makers and how today it's okay to wear the Kilt in a casual manner for every day wear.

That's really cool. It's always great to see others in a kilt, especially when you run into a fellow XMarker. And that you've spread the kilt-fever to another person is also welcome news.
