This sort of activity is upsetting to those of us with enough life under our belts to appreciate what a national flag represents. These angry young people are dealing with specific issues (not the broader picture) with much theoretical knowledge yet little real world experience. They are full of p:$$ and vinegar and anxious to make their mark on the world. They can be forgiven "for they know not what they do", or they can be shown that there are some boundaries that are not to be crossed. I believe that latter to be the correct choice.

I don't believe this to be a right versus left issue but a right versus wrong issue!

    I'm not against flag burning.

I think it's a valid form of protest.

It is an insult to those of us who have served our nations. While I may agree with some of the sentaments which might lead someone to burn the flag in protest, I wish they could find another way to protest. Remember, the flag doesn't just represent a government, it represents all of those who have given their lives to protect the right to protest. If it were not for those veterans, we might all be speaking different languages now

Flag burning is probably the most pathetic gesture ever.

I have no objection to some low-life that wants to burn a flag so long as he/she wraps it around their empty head before setting it ablaze. As a matter of fact, I'll gladly light it after making sure that its snugly tied around their throat.
    Just my two cents worth...

    Chris.
