As a long time GI Joe fan, I really like #52:
52. Not allowed to yell “Take that Cobra” at the rifle range.
#152 reminds me of my reserve training:
152. The following items do not exist: Keys to the Drop Zone, A box of grid squares, blinker fluid, winter air for tires, canopy lights, or Chem-Light ® batteries.
Our training "mission" was to reestablish communications after they were disrupted on the east coast. What that meant was we had to lay cable along the freeway and hook up phones to each end (I was part of a cable and wire unit). One of our Lieutenants wanted to take one of the vehicles out and drive along the road to "check out the teams". Several of us were in the motor pool area (really a tent), including the First Sergeant. When the LT said he wanted to take out the truck, he was told by the 1st Sgt that he couldn't because the truck wasn't ready. When asked why, the 1st Sgt told him that the air in the tires had to be changed because they still had "winter air" and they wouldn't take the strain in summer conditions. The LT actually considered this for a couple of minutes before he got it.
