Welcome to Xmarks. This is a great web site to learn just about anything you wanted to know about the kilt. I would definetly wear the kilt when you take your son to school. The more you wear it the more confident you will be. Don't be surprised if you suddenly have these urges to purchase more kilts - they are quite addicting.

Hello All,

Just got back from a trip to Petaluma with my family. It was a bit cold and a bit wet, but I had a lot of fun wandering around downtown wearing my gray mocker UK. (By the by, if you are ever in Petaluma, I highly recommend Dempsey's microbrewry and their Ugly Dog Stout.) I got nothing but smiles wherever we went. One couple in their 60's stopped to ask me about why my kilt wasn't a tartan one. All in all a very pleasant maiden voyage into going out and about in the real world.

Grettings From Utah,

I would advise about wearing the sgian dubh on the school property. They dend to frown on Knives on campus. Sort of like airports.
