Think we're a tad looser here in the Colonies. The mention I saw was for wearing boxers with shamrocks on them for the St. Paddy's day parade...seems a fitting thing in case of wind.
I choose to wear tartan print boxer shorts when I feel I must wear anything at all, figure the wind would answer the question in a most Scottish way.
But...I do have a pair of black satin boxers with bright red hearts on them from an old joke Valentine's Day gift. Always thought they might be appropriate for courting....or a game of kilted strip poker....
