Please don't take this as an attack, I make this statement in the spirit of open debate.
Some of us don't take things as seriously as others do. We're not here to "enhance kilt wearing" for others; that's something they have to do for themselves.
As casual wearers of the kilt (as many of us are), we've already established that we are indivdualists, we do not follow the dictates of society's sense of style; therefore, we often also discard the dictates of tradition in favor of our own whims. That's our perogitive; the kilt is not a uniform.
"The kilt is Not a Costume," isn't that one of our unofficial by-lines here at X-Marks? Well, it's true; they're just clothes! If one of the guys wants to make a joking statement with his choice of underwear, I'm going to laugh with the rest. I'm not going to worry about how it affects me; it doesn't. His choices reflect on him and no-one else.
