Enter the Haggis gave up kilts?

That is a shame. They better get them back to Fergus to the games so we can give them an ear full. That was one of the unique things about them. Too many bands have stopped wearing kilts. I think I remember a time a few from Seven Nations wore kilts. I know our good friend Ewan with the Glengarry Bhoys would love to wear his CCKilts on stage, he got so use to it over the years of piping in pipe and drums and with his own band he recently left . I'm not sure but I don't think the bands leader Graham wants to be labeled as a kilt band. ......

ETH might want to take a good look at 7Nations.
They have had as good a run at the BIG leagues as anyone.
They played on PBS radio and pop stations.
They did a few House of Blues Tours.
If you look at their schedule for this year, they would be sitting at home if it wasn't for pubs, Irish fests, and Scottish games.
Often when they lose the kilts to open up to a wider audience they also seem to lose their way musically.:rolleyes:
I haven't bought a 7Naitons cd since they went Pop 5 years ago.
But I have a full collection of cd's and mp3's I have purchased from plenty of kilted bands.

Are they going to change their name too? It seems to me that the word "Haggis" is more overtly Celtic than the fact that they wear kilts onstage. And what about the pipes?

I don't listen to them only because they wear kilts, but that is how I found them in the first place. Too bad.

EDIT: Just checked over at their site, and there's a whole thread on the subject of whether or not they're going to wear kilts, etc.

I missed that one.
7N does not have that on their tour schedule.
I still stand by that it is the exception to the rule on this years tour.
I would also like to point out what 7N uses to promote themselves from the The State Theatre's own webb site:

I have seen 2 shows of 7N since they turned into "a road-hardened rock 'n' roll machine". I have followed 7N since they were Clan Na Gael. Their music became run of
mill pop music about the time they quit wearing kilts. When musicians
try to distance themselves from their roots I find their music suffers. Just my 2 cents.
