    If that is the case and you already have the brown shoes you want to wear, go for the MacLeod and the brown sporran and belt for now. When you want to get the black set and another tartan, than go for the balck shoes.

    For your first kilt, you don't need to buy everything fresh all at once. Try and incorporate what you already have in your closet. If you have brown shoes, match to those first. Whith brown accesories, I find that brown work boots or hiking boots also go well.

    The thing is is to just be yourself. Match as much as you can the first time or two out, and the other things will all fall into place soon, and no one will be the wiser. Wear the Kilt with confidence and smile big and often. You will definetly find out fast what and how things fit soon enough, you are hanging out here you know.
