Steve, again many thanks! You have done this twice, which I think is above and beyond the call of duty. I will volunteer to help next time.
And on another note, WOOOHOOOO!

So, shall we start planning an X Marks gathering someplace for 2007 so we can all assemble and have a parade in our X Marks tartans?

Actually it was nothing that anyone here said.
Gordon Kirkbright called me on Friday and said that he had a hole in his production schedule and that for some reason the mill was running out of yarn.
Appearantly they are having a problem with a supplier.
So the answer was, we order the X Marks Tartan now or we don't get it till sometime in July.
I made a command decision and we are ordering now.

You know, if there is one thing more striking than a bunch of kilted gentlemen, it is when all the kilts of in the same tartan.

Speaking of this dashing tartan, how will you all be having yours pleated?

I left the decision on how to pleat my X Marks the Scot tartan kilt to Kathy Lare www.kathyskilts.com since she'd actually see the tartan in person before I did. She thought it would look sharp pleated to the sett and that's what she did. I'm pleased. Seems the right way to handle the white stripes.
The white stripes in the tartan sort of leap out in the photos, probably due to fill flash. But in person the white seems much more subdued due to blue slashes in the white lines. So don't judge from Ham and my pics.
Would reccomend, if you're drop shipping the fabric from Steve to your kiltmaker, that you ask you kiltmaker and follow their expertise...unless you're dead set on one way or another for some reason.
