Well done, there are a couple of techniques for sitting, either sweep one or both hands behide the kilt as you sit, or squat slightly to allow the kilt to fall a bit in front of the seat and pull the chair forward or move back onto (a fixed) seat. It will soon be second nature, in fact on the rare occasions I'm not wearing a kilt - I still use the 'sweep' to sit out of habit!
