You should phone them. Do it when you wake up so they are still at work It should work out. At least it did with me after some logistic difficulties :P

I ordered a tweed jacket and waistcoat from them last year, the jacket was a perfect fit but the waistcoat was one size too small and being a perfect 46R I can't use the waistcoat, I tried to get an adjustment from the company but they never came through with any suggestions on how to get it done. I decided to get a local tailor to make the alteration and never deal with Scottishkilts again.

Wow, I was actually just looking at their tweed jackets and waistcoats because of the price but now I'm wondering if I'll want to buy from them.

I don't usually recommend one store over another but I have had good luck with the "kilt store" they have great service as well. The prices are a bit higher than kiltnet though....

I've had only good and prompt service from them, I suggest you use the phone and speak to David.

I bought a pin from them a few weeks ago. As well as being reasonably priced, it came in it's own presentation box and turned up quickly. O.K. I'm only in Kent (UK), but they let me know about the despatch date by email and seemed to be a decent company to deal with. I'd buy from them again - and no, I've no connection with them other than as a customer

I think you will find that like most businesses, there are good experiences and bad experiences. Neither Graham nor I have had a bad experience with them yet. I have had to wait a bit for a jacket, and I had to inquire about it's status on my first order, but I have had no similar problems since. I even had David call me at home (6 am my time.....ouch!) to assure me that my jacket was going to make it in time for the wedding I was attending.

The dress sporran I ordered last week has not shown up yet, but I had asked that the sporran chains be switched from regualr to the cross chains. David emailed me that it may take a few extra days, but that we would see that it got done and he gave me a possible recived date.

As I have said before, he and I spoke about the kilts and tartans for a few weeks before I ordered my traditional, and when the order finally went through, he had it to me in 9 days, so that I could have it before Christmas (arrived on the 23rd), even thought I was only hoping to get it before Burns Night a month later.

I think that despite the bad experiences of a few, if you look at all the satisfied customers that recently ordered and received the Irish American kilts you will see that generally the service from Scottishkilts is very good. I have yet to see any company on the web that was perfect. Besides, the jacket waistcoat combo is a steal for the price they are charging

The price was more than fair and the jacket and waistcoat very well made: my only concern is that I can't seem to get anyone to tell me when I'll be able to exchange them for my size. If they have your size in stock, you might have the items in hand within two weeks (it was faster than that for my shipment last year).

Bryan...I plan on calling first thing tomorrow morning: hopefully about 1430 hours Scotland time. I'll post back with results (good, I'm sure)..

Did they use the post office or another method for shipping?

They can either use Parcel Force (an extension of the Post office I believe) or UPS.
