The first time my other half looked at my music collection she just sat there staring for several minutes trying to take it all in & figure out what type I like best. Taste ranging from A to Z fits me too.
List of what I've been listening to at work this week:
1. The best of NewOrder
2. Kitaro (ki)
3. Tangerine Dream (force majeure)
4. Megadeth (killing is my buisnes & buisness is good)
5. Iron Maiden (Ed Hunter compilation)
6. The best of Scottish Pipes & Drums
7. Judas Priest (prisoners of pain)
I bought "An Enchanted Evening" just for one song (I don't remember the name now, but it was a lot of slow, bluesy guitar) and started listening to the rest. Very impressive and eclectic artist.
Funny thing is, after writing that earlier I found a tape on my desk (yes half of my music is still on cassette tapes I bought in the 80's) that I forgot I had here, it's Kitaro Asia. I especially like caravansary & Japanese drums on this album so I'm currently listening to it for the next hour before I go home.

Hey John that is some wicked collection right there. Old school rock fan you are. I'm a fan of new order (and joy division of course!).
Slightly off topic, I saw Richard Thompson (seminal member of Fairport Convention) do a solo show a couple of nights ago. Spectacular folks and if he ever makes to your part of the world check it out.
Here's a recent playlist of mine:
1.Nick Drake-Pink moon
2.The Police-outlandos d'amour
3.Go-Betweens-16 lovers Lane
4.Flook-Live
5.the Flaming Lips-Yoshimi battles the pink robots
6.Daniel Lanois-Acadie
