Good looking kilt, as the others have said, "you're a natural".

The more your wear your kilt the more you will enjoy it!

Well done Mike. You don't look at all like a newbie, you look like you've been wearing the kilt for a long time. Family and friends are emotionally the hardest audience to win over, now you can just go out and enjoy yourself.

Thanks everyone. I'm still not sure what my wife really thinks of this. She keeps saying "I can't believe you bought a kilt", and I don't know if she means that she admires my confidence and keen fashion sense or if she really doesn't like it. She tends to be pretty non-committal that way. I know she really doesn't like my cowboy boots and hat, so this certainly gives a striking alternative. Time will tell, I guess.

I don't know about the cilt hose, but a 'horse hair sporran' would be quite fitting.

    NO, NO, NO!!!

If you're from (or in) Texas, and you wear your boots and hat with the kilt, the proper sporran is full-face-mask Longhorn steer!!

Cowboy boots, hat and a kilt...EEEK!!!

I think I'd give that a pass... The only kilt that cowboy boots might even barely go with would be a denim UK. Once saw pics of a guy wearing those items with a tartan kilt and off-white kilt hose. The result ain't pretty. Much safer with 20-eyelet Docs...

Anyway, hope you have your first day out soon... I have done some prepping of Tacoma for ya already... In fact, was once hit on by a drunk russian guy at a pub northwest of downtown. Talk about a strange experience. If he was a she, I probably wouldn't have minded. But, eh, whatever floated his boat. Needless to say, I was pretty happy to get out of there.
