I have a similar problem. I still have 6 metres (double width) of the 14oz MacKenzie Morgan tartan from Fraser & Kirkbright. Now I am planning on making a kilt from Barb's book, but do I use this (MacKenzie is a family name) or do I use the MacNeil of Barra I have sitting around and make a kilt for a friend of mine? I wonder, is it possible to make an 8 yard and a 4 yard from 6 metres of double width wool?
I am sure Matt does outstanding work, but I am a big fan of the knife pleats.
