I just wish there was a little more description on the reason for the discount.

"Whew!" That was close, they skipped right over my size (size 44). I don't really need another Stillwater right now. I have big plans for a tank soon. As for some of the coments, There have been several threads on this forum from members who have purchased Stillwater blemish sale items and all have been very positive. As for Canada and international shipping, I'm not sure Jerry even considers our good neighbors to the north to be international shipping. I'm thinking he is refering more to "overseas".

Bueller? Bueller?
Has anyone bought any of the kilts off of Stillwater's "irregular" list?
I know YMMV, but I'm curious as to opinions of these kilts, before I buy one...

I purchased a Blackwatch heavyweight from their irregular list, a few months back. After an email I sent, I received a pic of the imperfection, which was fairly minor. There was a small tear that was repaired quite nicely, and the repair itself was completely covered by the sporran I wear. SW doesn't sell irregulars that are seriously screwed up, only minor oddities. They are also very easy to work with, and you can always ask if they'll take a pic for you. Doesn't hurt to ask.

I bought one of the kilt pins. The plating was not that bad. If anyone get close enough to see the pin while I'm wearing it, they might get an eyeful of my knee.

I just got the 36" Gordon that was on the list last week...let you know what I think later but first impressions are good so far...buckles are less than fantastic but I assume that this is some kind of a prototype or sample of some kind and the fabric was what they were looking at and not the hardware.

I enquired about one of the closeout kilts and Jerry replied saying they do not offer those items for shipment outside of the US because it's not possible to replace such one-of-a-kind items in the event of loss or damage.

I ordered a Black Watch and Lamont off the irregular list. In both cases the belmish was so unnoticable I considered the purchase to be a steal. I don't even know how to describe the blem on the Black Watch, the Lamont had a slight pull on the pleat stitching. No one has noticed either, I had too look quite hard to find it myself. In fact I wear the Black Watch in my pipe band as I await the one in my pipe band's tartan.
