    New McKnight

Hi, my name is Mark and I just found this board. My great grandmothers maiden name was Mary Francis McKnight. I read that the McKnights were a sept of the Clan McNaughton so I ordered a McNaughton kilt from USA Kilts.

Welcome from a fellow McKnight / MacNaughton. It's a great tartan, I think you'll really like it Check out PD Corlis' picture of his MacNaughton USA semi-traditional. It's excellent!

many, Many McKnights are Ulster Scots in background, like my ancestor who came over from Ulster in 1733.

I'd like to thank all of you for the warm welcome. I saw the pictures of pdcorlis in his MacNaughton Semi-Traditional from USA Kilts. It's a great looking kilt. I'd like to thank Alan H for letting me know about the McKnights being Ulster Scots. I want to learn all I can about the McKnight family history. I'm from Albuquerque, NM. I was born here, raised in Miami, Fl. and then returned to Albuquerque. My great grandmother was a McKnight and I'm Norman on my fathers side. It's great how friendly people are on this board.

Welcome from another Norman-Scot. I have a great grand who was a Knight, maybe shortened from McKnight? Another tartan to add to the ol' wishlist.
