[Tartan Hiker]

I'd replace the straps as I mentioned in my review before I headed into the boonies, otherwise I'm sure it'd hold up just fine.

I"m 38" at the navel, and the 38" kilt at that height is tightened to the center hole on the straps, so I'd say their sizing is dead on. I'm 6'3" and that brings the hem to the center of my knee.

fantastic. I'll have to order a pair of them at 36". At 6'3 myself, I am dead set on loosing extra baggage, so with a kilt that will only go so big, it should be a perfect fit!

hehehe,... definitely I'll give a look on that, after ur report,... it sounds good!even when i still have to decide if I go for a black watch or try to look for 6 people interested in having one in my tartan... :rolleyes:

If quality is as good as u said,... 100$ will not be expensive for an extremely rare tartan kilt!

This is soooo tempting...I wish that they had some other tartans available, though...they mention MacLean and if they had Hunting MacLean, I'd jump on it in a minnit. I am trying so hard to be virtuous and save up for a somewhat more "major" kilt purchase......

Hey Mark, you must have emailed via ebay. I emailed on their website and its now ten days with no response.

Asked about the Ottawa tartan they advertise. Guess they don't want to sell any or sold out.

Not very sales oriented to ignore buying questions.

Don't think I'd buy from them now at all. If they'd ignore a buying email they'd sure ignore any emails with problems.

I understand where you're comin' from Ron. I did in-fact communicate with them through their eBay account. I'll drop him a line and let him know you are upset and want a response about the Ottawa tartan. I'd imagine it is a provincial Canadian tartan. Anyhow, let us know if you do get a reply!

Kilts look very interesting, especially after reading Tartan Hiker's review.

The only length offered appears to be 27" which is way too long for me; do they offer other lengths? Also, noticed that the e-bay listing states that:

"other tartans are available as custom bulk orders of 6 or more. Again please inquire."

Just can't figure out ebay, and am afraid of getting more spam from there than I already do...kind of like those get rich deals from Africa...do they think I'm stupid??? There's nothing wrong with my ebay account because I don't have one. That's why went to his website and emailed there.

Anyway, his blurb on ebay said it was an Ottawa Indian tartan. that interested me since I got my bachelor's and master's degrees at Ottawa University -Phoenix and the main campus in Kansas is/was owned by the Ottawa Tribe. My underbelly waist is 42"

To allay your fears, I've had an e-bay account since about the time the site came on line. They don't send spam, and you really don't have much to worry about for privacy. They are extremely good about keeping out of your business.

Just keep getting endless spam that there's something wrong with my non-existant ebay account. Figure if I get that much without an account if I got active it would be a tidal wave.

So, it makes no sense to me that to ask a vendor a question I have to first do an elaborate sign up on ebay. Feel trapped into joining to ask a question. Just don't like that.

I'm with Ham...don't need it. If vendors don't want to provide an alternate way to respond, or won't answer responses, that's their decision and I'll be fine without their product and I'll feel safer not doing business with an unresponsive stranger.
