"There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold..."
'Scotland the Brave' brings tears to my eyes and memories of every family funeral. Less tradtional - AC/DC's 'Its a long way to the top' Got love the pipes in a rock-n-roll song!
Anything with pipes, of course, but my favorite song right now is Dido, believe it or not. "Not So Bad". Great song, and wonderful use of harmonic variations. Good stuff. It's very mellow, though, and so I still can't figure why it stirs me.
Following themically... "julie" by the Levellers.
AC/DC: Highway to Hell
anything by the Tiger Lillies... or Angry Johnny and the Killbillies....
Scots Wha Hae, Flower of Scotland, When the Clans Unite... Ted Christopher's I'm Coming Home is edging its way onto that list.
Almost any Enya song, but particularly The Celts stirs the soul. binx
