I am looking forward to resewing already made kilts and making new ones, it means that I have lost more weight.
I do make my kilts without a permanent waistband, so they are easy to alter - I just use a belt and hand sewn belt loops.
Having lost 10 inches from my waist in just over a year I rejoice every time I find a kilt that needs to be remade smaller.
Maybe it is just that there is no incentive for you to work on more kilts?

I haven't said it yet and I sure hope not to, at least in the near future! I have the fabric for two more kilts on the way and I have to do some fixing of my first one, as I've lost more weight than moving the straps and buckles will fix.

I am kinda with you BBQ - have spent most of the winter working on one or another kilt - have one cut out, marked & ready for stitching but its bundled up in a bag under my bed as i havent had the inspiration to finish it off lately for some reason. hopefully i will get the urge again in the next few weeks as i need to get busy on more traditional models plus some summer weight contemporary ones as well ...
methinks i need to hire a seamtress....
ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!

I've made three, ones a 8 yard traditional and the others 4 yard canvas. I wasn't planning on making more but the temptation is growing.

I've yet to make a kilt...Although anything else I've ever said "this is my last..." has always wound up just being the one before the one I'm working on...
