I'll third that, a nice tartan with anything on it just doesn't work for me, kinda like the huge white X crossing someone else's kilted **** at the Quneen Mary Highland games.

Sorry, but I think it detracts from what appears to be an otherwise beautiful kilt. (In fact, taking a closer look, it seems like a temporary window dressing sort of thing. You can see what appears to be some of the paint in a square pattern around the actual design.)

it is actually done in silver.... ai thoucht the 'overspray' looked a bit odd tae... but it was clearly intentional... (not sure why though...)

Some folks like it, some folks don't....the joy of this kilt is that designers are coming up with new ideas - a sure sign of fashion strength in today's market.

Well, I would like that kilt without the thistle airbrushing, it is a nice looking tartan. If I want a "thistle" tartan, I will order the thistle dhub kilt that Ham recently received.

What would be really cool is to have the "symbol" woven into the cloth like the shadow tartans. Kind of like a watermark on paper. It won't detratct from the tartan but will be slightly visible when viewed from certain angles.

    Did that make any sense?
