Took my 85 year old mother out for Easter brunch at Wahweap Marina on Lake Powell. This was my Easter outfit.

Got a LOT of compliments. The buffet is a big deal locally so saw a lot of friends. A doc from the emergency room said she loved my kilt. A guy asked about what clan the tartan was, and best of all a guy who seemed to be in his late 20's said the kilt really looked good...that was unexpected....even if true.

For those who haven't been tracking its the Cameron Black and Red from the House of Edgar's Old and Rare collection sewn up by Kathy Lare of Kathy's Kilts.

Don't mean to steal the thread...seems to be a Macdonald theme to it. It was my 3 great grandmother Catherine Cameron who was married up to my 3 great grandfather John Macdonald when they were swept up in the clearances and shipped over to Nova Scotia.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
