    It's certainly improved my leathercraft.
Extended my silversmithing into sand casting and better pin and buckle work.
My keyboard talents are definately better! thanks to xmarks.

Sewing mostly. With a machine. I've belted out 4 kilts now. Working on hand sewing another.

Been wanting to get ahold of some leather and try making my own sporrans. Making a pair (or more) of ghillie brogues would be enjoyable. Some flashes are in my future.

Getting some incite to making a sgian duhb would be cool.

Now that you mention it, starting a sgian dubh. Steel and maybe damascus, depends on how much time my friends will give me.
I bought a badger skin, but I haven't figured out how to turn it into a sporran yet. The tanning skills I (had previously). Doug thinks I should buy a sporran and just cover it, don't really like that idea though.
No sewing for me, not interested. But that may be the only way to get a casual according to the keeper of the books.
Maybe I should establish a traders corner to go along with the kilt adoption agency.

Mostly, I have developed the ability to spend large sums of money on kilts and kilt goodies without going into shock

I have developed the ability to smile and nod instead of taking offense at total jerks

And I have developed the ability to preen in front of a mirror and fuss over the way I look.

    hmm...

thermal dynamics ( hot air does rise, and will take anything it can with it!)
Inter-species relations (yes, there are some people who just might be from another planet)
Stand-up philosophy - Ever meet a kiltie who didn't have some crazy story to tell over a pint?
    Leather work
improvisational needlework carpet needles are not just for carpets anymore
Substitute MC - a kilt, a pint and a microphone are not to be used together in public.

Lately I've been working on my skills as a semi-professional wingman. It seems that no matter how shy a guy is, put him in a kilt and he is an instant hit, and my single drinking buddies can sometimes use the help.
