Of course, Blu is quite correct - suede is just not a practical material for a kilt. I once had a gorgeous suede jacket, but it was the very devil to keep looking like something wearable! Having said that, if someone came up with a suede treatment that would reliably repel stains, watermarks, etc. then I'd be head of the queue to get one. But then, I'm like that!
