Iolaus,
I have both the Weather Lamont and the Irish Saffron. To me they feel the same weight. I think they are both 13 oz. I noticed that the Lamont is about an inch longer for some reason. It's the longest of all my SWKs.

Saffron Kilt Pic Please!
Hey NewKilt and Bjcustard, how about some pics of the SW Saffron Kilt?
The photo from the SW site is great, but I'd really like to see more of it.
It's pushing its way up to the top of my list and it might just make it if it looks as good in a real picture as it does in the store site.
Please??

I'll post some pics tonight if no one else does first. The picture on the site is pretty representative as far as color and construction, but doesn't show the shadow tartan pattern (also, the kilt has no apparent slimming effect, meaning when I wear it, I don't look skinny). Keep in mind that if this is the same weight as other SWK "heavyweights," it's no tank. The fabric is solid and nice, but pretty light weight.

I'll try to post one on Friday. I'll have to capture a frame from video . . . don't have a good camera.

BJ, no offense, I love the pic as it shows the kilt nicely, but I am not sure about the complete black and white combo for the rest of the ensemble. I think that I would try to tie the saffron in more (hard wit that color I know).
Thanks again for the pic.

Black and White combo
Yeah, it's not the best ensemble... but wifey vetoed my green sweater at the last minute.

You just need some saffron flashes and a saffron tie (or tie with just some of the saffron color) and you are set. Check out your local fabric store to see if they have any ribbon that matches. Norby Dog had a great little thread about making your own flashes. By the by, the saffron kilt looks great!
