From a woman's standpoint- I tend to like a guy the way I fell for him. If my husband had had a beard when we met, I would sure miss it if he shaved it off. Since he didn't, I feel weird looking at him whenever he grows more than a few days of scruff. I guess you might feel the same way if your SO got a drastically different haircut AND color AND perm all at once...

Shay, when I met my wife I had a very full beard. One day I decided to shave it off and my wife has liked the smooth look better ever since. Of course, she does tell me that my beard is like barbed wire. As for her hair, I always tell her it's her hair, wear it however it's comfortable.

Well, thanks largely to this thread, I've decided to see if I can grow the rest of my facial hair out. I'd already gone a couple days without shaving, so I just decided to let it keep going. Thinned out the goatee to get it closer to the rest, and we'll see what happens

let it go...the worst thing that can happen is your chin isn't cold in the winter...and by starting now you should be nice and toasty!

Well, bubba, I guess she and I feel differently. And yeah- it's your (and my) hair, but it would just look a little... funny, I guess, until you got used to it.
(Now, I wonder if the fellas on this thread would feel the same way about armpit and leg hair... lol)

Personally, I think men or women can do whatever they want with whatever hair they have. However, I will admit that I certainly have preferences. For instance, I like longer hair on women, but I wouldn't try to impose my preferences on anyone. Now, if they asked my OPINION, I would tell them, but that's all it would be is an opinion.
