Never much of a football fan, but if I am going to hang out at a kilt website, and talk shop with the boys (and girl or two) I guess I should start learning. How would I even start to find a team to cheer for? I gues I could go the girl route and just pick the team with the nicest colors.

ai'v always preferred the underdug wha comes fraim nuthin tae greetness.... an thot's Gretna FC...
my local is "Queen O' the South' and they look tae be lowered a division because they are playin so bad....
the twa 'big' clubs in Scotland are Celtic and Rangers... but because they baith associate themselves wi a specific religious viewpoint (wan Catholic, wan Protestant) ai cannae really support either club....

for the upcoming Scottish Cup final between Gretna an Hearts....
it shows a young couple driving roon Gretna (to the tune of 'Goin to the Chapel')
tryin tae fin a place tae get married (Gretna is THE place tae get married- fur those whit dinnae know)
but a' the blacksmith shops whit dae weddings are closed.... so the couple finally drive oot o Gretna...
an oan the screen the words come oop--
"Gretna, the only town that can break Hearts"
ainly 4 maire days tae gae till the Scottish Cup Final.....
