    Brown eyed girl

I was in Brisbane attending the funeral of Grant McLennan, a great Australian musician and of course I wore my Westmeath Tank, he is a McLennan after all.
And....being fairly miserable as one is after a funeral I had a bit of a walk and I passed a very beautiful brown haired, brown eyed girl who gave me the sweetest smile after looking me up and down. It was a small thing but so beautifully timed and needed it made my day.
    Just thought I'd share it.

Sometimes even the smallest of things can make your day. We all need to keep that in mind, and hopefully make someone's day. I am glad she made yours a little brighter.

Thanks for sharing that, ozmeath. It brightened my day just to hear about it. Sometimes good things happen just when you could use a little lift. I'm sorry about the death of someone you thought so highly of. It sounds like that girl was beautiful in many ways. A brown haired, brown eyed girl . . . I married one once . . .

hmm...that alone is reason enough for me to don the kilt this evening and have a pint or two...as if I needed a reason to don the kilt!

I expect that Grant would approve of the kilt, the girl and the smile.

Gals who smile when they see your kilt are the best.

I've been in 26 countries and seen some really incredible sights but nothing ever took my breath away as when I lifted my wife's veil 18 years ago and looked into her deep brown spanish eyes. I have the good fortune to look into those eyes every day since then so I'm just a little biased.

    Chris.
