Rocky, I noticed that you don't have a Morgan tartan or am I missing it and it's there?

Hey Morgan,

Unfortunately, Morgan is NOT one of the 75 tartans available in PV. We try to keep about 30 to 40 in stock and special order the rest, but unfortunately, we can't get the Morgan tartan in PV.

If you'd like it in Wool in either a 5 yard wool kilt ($350) or a Premier ($500 to $550), we can gladly do that for you!

Do you think a 5 yard kilt would be good for throwing in or should I go with one of the PVs for throwing and a 5 yard for more wearing out uses?

What do you mean by "throwing in"? Highland games?

It's personal prefference and personal finance. If you can swing a $350 kilt to be your "knock around" kilt, then I say go for it! If you want to save it to be your "good kilt", then get that one for your good kilt and a Casual to get muddy (remember, it's machine washable and Teflon coated!).

I'll vouch for the knock-around-ability of the PV casuals. I've got three of them and I wear them hiking in the woods. It's really nice to be able to just chuck it in the laundry machine when I come home. When I spill stuff on it, usually if it's a small quantity of liquid it just beads up on the surface of the kilt and wipes off without leaving a trace behind. I wouldn't go trying that with soy sauce but it's worked for me with tea before.

I was meaning a kilt for a competitor in the Highland Games (i.e. caber toss, sheaf toss, hammer throw, etc). Movability and comfort are very important. I'll take your advice and look at the casuals. Thanks.

My only hesitation at first was having to wear someone elses tartan. But since the MacKays and Morgans are so intertwined (as the story goes) then I'm sure I could wear that tartan without much grief from anyone who is a stickler.
