yup, if you can keep your wits about you when out to the pubs, this sort of thing happens ( at least to me) most of the time.

Great story until the part about declining the lesbians....my heart sunk...them ladies is usually pretty cool....guess your wife wouldn't believe you though...

Wish I woulda known this before I quit drinking....guess that's why the Ol' Coyote held off on kilts for me....if I woulda had kilts when I was drinkin' that free booze woulda killed me for sure.

Great story, thank for passing it on.

Knowing full well that my wife would have gone off the deep end, I had to decline. Yes, it would have been fun, but you are right, trying to convince the wife that you are anywhere that doesn't serve breakfast after the bars close is a tough sell.

I've only been to the pub kilted one time and that was after we walked in the St. Patty's Day parade in Bricktown down here in OKC. After we made it through the near freezing temps, the rain, and sleet for about 16 blocks we were rewarded with free beer at Tapworks.

The first couple of "What's under your kilt?" questions were kinda' funny but eventually it got annoying. I nearly had the urge to say "Your wife's lipstick" to one guy but thought that might lead to something the owner wouldn't like.

Kilted KT, great experience! I wish I could have been there to enjoy it. I bet if there were 2 of us kilted, we could have convinced people to pick up the cover charges as well!
