hey, i am a mountain biker and as a result, my hose tends to get see through when I pull them all the way up (they are acryllic sport socks) I would advise getting some good quality wool hose, I have worn some in the same size as my regular socks and they seem to hold better and they dont stretch deformly like the other acryllic ones.
