Looks good. Your dad looks like he can be quite the character.

Great Photo! Houston is hot and humid so it is a perfect city for kilts.

Your quite right there! My Dad is something else! He's been around and done a lot of stuff, he survived Korea, 40 years of motorcycling, raising me, and throat cancer, but this was a new one for him!

We'd been planning for a few weeks to go to the games, and I kept telling him I was gonna get him a kilt. I don't think he believed me, but my wife and I showed up at the house a few days beforehand with a kilt, belt, kilt pin, hose, flashes, and sporran. We showed him how to work it, got him to try it all on etc., and said see ya' Sunday!

As we left, my wife said;"do you think that was a waste of money?" I said "No, The Chief is up for anything!" (even his wife calls him 'The Chief', long story) So... when we pick him up to go to the games, he hits the door kilted up and ready to go! My wife's only comment;"Damn, I'm glad I brought a camera".

When we got to the grounds, I think he was a little freaked being around strangers at first, but half the men there were kilted anyway so he relaxed pretty quick. The highlight was when an attractive middle-aged woman complimented our appearance and started asking about the Irish tartans etc.. He was just fine after that! We wandered around the vendors, watched some events and bands, had a great time! I wish my first outings were as easy as his was!
