Well, as I remember the final tally at check out a VAT was added and everything was summed up and I never received my kilthose, I wonder if they sent it to someone in GB instead?...LOL

Woops! Although don't you hate it when you kiss a frog and it turns into a VAT Prince instead of Prince Charming?

My order was in today and they are definately lighter than the ones I got from local scottish store. Still they felt great and comfortable. I really like the lovat green and blue that I ordered. They are definately great value.

*begs the wife for the debit card*
Looks like a good enough deal... 4 pairs of kilt hose for around $30 is a steal as far as I'm concerned... especially considering everywhere else I look, they seem to run $25 a pair!
Oh yeah... they only have cream, navy, black, and lovat blue right now. Makes decision making easy... 1 OF EACH!!

Just received my first batch of 4 in the post this morning: 2 black, 1 lovat green, 1 navy. They look fine, but they arrived a bit late to get worn - let you know tomorrow how they fit and feel.

Well, I'm wearing the Lovat Green pair today. They fit quite well (I ordered 9 1/2 - 13) and look good. They're not heavyweight. I'd guess they were medium. There's no flesh colour showing through, so they're thick enough. They feel OK: normally I don't like the sensation of man-made fibres, but I don't seem to be aware of them, so perhaps the quite high wool content does the job. Anyway, I'm quite satisfied, so I'll probably buy another batch.

I sent an e-mail to them asking about the VAT and below is the response.
Hi. Thanks for your email.
The website is set up not to charge VAT for customers based in the US,
but
we are currently experiencing a few problems with this.
If you find that you are charged VAT on a specific order, please let me
know. I will send you a revised invoice or alternatively refund you the
VAT
on the order.
Best Regards
James

I finally received my four pair special and I have to tell you that they are some really nice socks, the colors are great and they are of better than expected quality. I don't know what they'll be like after the first washing, whenever that will be but they are as great looking as any I've ever purchased before.
