Hi. Thanks for your email.
The website is set up not to charge VAT for customers based in the US,
but
we are currently experiencing a few problems with this.
If you find that you are charged VAT on a specific order, please let me
know. I will send you a revised invoice or alternatively refund you the
VAT
on the order.

I finally received my four pair special and I have to tell you that they are some really nice socks, the colors are great and they are of better than expected quality. I don't know what they'll be like after the first washing, whenever that will be but they are as great looking as any I've ever purchased before.

Joined the Brewin's Owners' Club yesterday - a pair each of black, off-white, lovat blue and lovat green. The quality and feel are good, and no quibble with the looks. They are quite generously sized (I'm UK shoe size 8 1/2 and ordered size 6 1/2-9) but by all accounts they will shrink a little - let's hope so because they are just a shade long for my short legs.
Mrs M. couldn't stand the "scrunched down hose look" (which probably says more about my legs than the about the look itself), but this works well with these hose. They have just the right bulk, and my regular shoes still fit fine.
The colours are lovely and natural. To my mind black hose looks a little too stark, but that is of course not a criticism of the hose itself.
The price (15 GBP + 5.25 GBP postage to Germany) is a steal.

Ordered four pairs today -- two cream, two lovat green. Looking forward to receiving them, as by all accounts so far they're a good deal.

Just watch the taxes. The price apparently includes vat that does not apply to US sales ask them to adjust if it is in there.

I got my four pairs yesterday. I was a little dissapointed. The quality and fit was excellent. However, I specified one pair each of the four available colors. Instead, I got one Lovat blue, One off white and two black. The Lovat green was the pair I wanted the most because I thought they would go best with my Macneil and Gordon tartaned kilts. I guess there must have been a misunderstanding between British English and American English, or the green was just out of stock and they substituted. I do wish they had infornmed me of an out of stock item and asked my choice instead of just substituting if that was the case.
