Absolutely no problem wearing them in Iowa; i live in the Quad Cities and have had ample opportunity to wear any of the 3 kilts i own - summer, fall, winter and spring. We have lots of activities that are perfect, the Celtic Games, Burns dinner, several events in Cedar Rapids and Des Moines not to mention the St. Patrick's Day parades in various locations.
