Blazn, I agree that the tapa will make an awesome casual kilt! Pair that up with some flip flops and a Jimmy Buffet t-shirt and you are ready to go.

Be sure to post pics of how it comes out. That might actually be a fabric that you could consider making more of a sarong or macabi skirt out of, the pleats might destroy the great look of the pattern.

I dunno. I was planning to box pleat it, not knife pleat it. I feel it'll turn out quite nicely.
