For the Hawaiian kilt, pleat to the fish.
For the Camo kilt, pleat to Maple leaf #7 and 1/2 of twig #3
It's looking good!

Are you sure I should pleat to the fish? I think pleating to the turtle would look more dramatic. Or to the warrior!
As for the camo kilt, I apologize. I thought it would look best pleated to oak leaf #5. *snaps fingers and exclaims "OH, SNAPS!"*

Who's addicted to fabric...?
The tapa pattern is terrific, but box pleating it would probably make the kilt too light... unless you want every kilt lift to remind you of those soft, caressing, tropical breezes you left behind in Hawaii.

Also, your desert digital camo kilt looks great. If the black webbing is too visually obvious, just sew up some "tubes" of camo, flattened into 1-inch-wide straps, and poke a very small hole for the buckle tongue.
Is all well in your new digs? and have your household goods showed up?

I was thinking of doing numerous, tight box pleats so as to use the full 6 yards I bought. I figured that would make it fairly heavy. I suppose I could try my hand at a Kinguisse pleating.

Actually... it's not desert digital. It's a RealTree style camo. Looks pretty nice, and I kinda like the way the black straps look on it.

Not in the new digs yet. We have 1 week from today until we vacate our present abode, and we fly off the island a week from Saturday.
Our household goods are waiting for us in Maine, and they're scheduled to be delivered on the 16th.
