I cannot stand Farscape; I watched the first three or four shows, and thought "this is like "Land of the Lost" - an updated early seventies sci-fi TV show, with only slightly better costumes" and never watched it again.

Firefly, however, was one of the most promising concepts to come on the screen in a long time. I thought it was the perfect mix of Characters and plot-lines; they could've gone in dozens of different directions with that show. Sure, some of the characters seemed a bit over the top, but I've know people just like every one of them (except River), including Jayne, and the personality conflicts between them were totally believable; much more realistic than the typical "everybody's a team here" pablum.

I guess, when I think about it, the characters were more important than the plot, at least for me. I was really disappointed when it was canceled ...and yes, I have and have watched the whole series in one sitting.

...and I'm pissed about what happened to Shepherd Book - they never explained any of his mystery!
